The Paklenica riviera is a perfect travel destination for families and nature lovers - it is a harmonious place where the Velebit mountain touches the sea.
Its villages - Starigrad-Paklenica, Seline, and Tribanj are famous for their untouched nature, beautiful Paklenica National Park, kilometers of all sorts of beaches, and believe me when I say it - breathtaking sunset. The best way to explore is to hop on a bike and see what's what.
Here are some longer routes you should definitely check out while staying in the Paklenica Riviera:
From White rocks beach in Seline to the center of Starigrad
From the center of Starigrad to Veliko rujno
From Mala Paklenica in Seline to Modrič
Starigrad – Reljani Bike Trail
From the center of Seline to the water tower above the village
White rocks beach in Seline - Pisak - the center of Seline - Večka kula - the center of Starigrad
This is an ideal route for running or cycling because you can just throw yourself in the sea when you get too hot. Also, it is a great way to find all the best spots on the beach in Seline or Starigrad.
Among other things, you will get to see Večka kula. This medieval fortification was built by Venetians almost 500 years ago as part of a fortification system against the Ottoman Empire. At this point in time, Seline was called Veče (eng. Veche - therefore Večka kula).
FYI, there is a beach for families with children, as well as sports and recreational facilities and a dog beach nearby (all in the direction of Seline), and a few bars on the beach (direction of Starigrad).
Besides, white rocks beach is a must-see site in the Zadar region. This unique beach is still not too crowded, so you can peacefully enjoy the wilderness and crystal clear sea.
The beach is 15-20 minutes away from Seline summer home, on foot.
Just follow the blue line on the map below, it is approximately 6 kilometers long (one direction) and finishes in the center of Starigrad.

Center of Starigrad - Veliko Rujno
When you find yourself in the center of Starigrad, you should most definitely go 1,7 km up the hill because you simply can not miss the breathtaking view of the Velebit Channel.
The further the better, but keep in mind it is very steep, so if you're not in shape to check it on a bike, it is also accessible by car.
If you decide to go all the way to the Veliko Rujno, keep in mind that it is 13 kilometers away (around 900 meter above sea level). From that point, there are a lot of hiking trails, it is even possible to reach Paklenica National Park, which would take you approximately 5 hours on foot.
Mala Paklenica - Modrič

This bike trail is around 6 kilometers long and it is around 250 meters above sea level (red line on the map), and it starts across the creek at the entrance of Mala Paklenica in Seline. You can also reach it directly from the main road, as it suggested on the map.

Starigrad – Reljani Bike Trail
The yellow trail is around 10 kilometers long, and it will blow your mind not only because of the beautiful nature and charming hamlets with stone houses and dry stone walls typical for this part of Croatia but also because of the breathtaking view of the Velebit Channel.

This path connects entrances to two canyons of National park Paklenica - it starts at Velika Paklenica in Starigrad, then continues until Mala Paklenica in Seline, and finishes a couple of kilometers after, in Reljan. The trail will lead you directly to the main road and the beach.
